Do you have your kids dressers grounded to the wall?

My husband thinks I'm nuts for doing it but I'm paranoid my youngest is going to climb them and they will fall on her.

  • I did when she was small and the dresser was bigger. Now it's a small one and she's taller than it is. So, not anymore. It's a good idea if the kid's a climber.

  • Nope. I have never thought of needed to do it, but even if I wanted to, I can't. We live in an earthquake resistant high-rise building in Japan. Our walls are concrete.

  • No, its not. But my kids don't climb on it, they just open the drawers and yank everything out lol

  • Nope and neither are the 6ft bookshelves. Too much effort on my part. I also was always in my kids rooms while they were awake and never had a fear that they would wake up before me and decide to climb. They are 6 and 7 now and I never had any issues.

  • yes , my 4 year old has a habit of climbing on them so they will stay that way until he gets a bit older.

  • No, DD isnt a climber and the furniture is heavy & its hard for me to move it so the chances of her tipping it is very rare..

  • No, but I have all the dressers in the house facing a bed so if it were to fall it would hi the bed.

  • No. His bunkbed had drawers in the stairs and under it so I dont have to worry about it, but before he had the bunkbed I didnt ground them
