What is the easiest way to get wallpaper down?

It is coming off in places so I can't just paint over it.

  • A blow dryer, the heat melts the glue and you can tear it away. You will need to do a lil scrapping but it helped us.

  • You can also buy a wallpaper scorer (about $5 at Home Depot) and run it over the wallpaper to create holes. Then spray it with water and let it soak in for a few minutes. You can then scrape it off.

  • A good steam machine. The Shark Steam Cleaner works great.

  • Scorer from any hardware store (even Walmart often carries one) and a HOT water DOWNY solution as the downy breaks down the adhesive.

  • lots and lots of water/moisture...if you can steam it off the better or just get a sponge and get it real wet so you can peal it off.
