  • Working as a bus monitor on the way home from school. Just sitting with the head start and preschool kids and handing them off to their parents.

  • I was a shampoo girl at a locally owned beauty shop. I also answered phones, cleaned the bowls and brushes, straightened the lobby, etc. I was 14 at the time and I worked every Saturday.

  • Cont: But I was saving money for college. So it wasn't really my first "Offical" job. My first REAL job was in Banking a few years later,after college. In the meantime, while in college,I worked in the Dorm Cafeteria and the kitchen, too .

  • I worked in a parking lot at the Hollywood Bowl. I made minimum wage which was $3.35/hr at the time. On days when I worked as cashier for the lot, I would make a whopping $3.75/hr.
