  • When they are little like that, they only eat because they are hungry. Don't worry.

  • My son still eats like that, but slowed down a little.

As long as it is healthy food, like fruits and veges, then he should be ok.

I would just add exta fruits and veges on his plate.

If you mean throwing food in his mouth quickly, then just give him it slower, set up a plate with what you want to feed him and then just add a spoon to his plate and tell him slow, slow. Teach him not too gobble it up.

My son is better with both now...Good Luck!!!

  • I agree with KFree. If he is just eating lots of food then that is ok- make sure it is healthy proteins and fruits and vegetables, etc and let him eat as much as he wants. Babies won't overfeed themselves. If he is eating too much junk or something then just stop giving it altogether. If you mean he eats too quickly then only give a little at a time on his plate or tray and replace as he finishes. Then remind him to eat slowly and chew, chew, chew. If you haven't introduced a fork or spoon yet that can also help only because it takes them so long to coordinate the silverware that they have to eat slower. Good luck!
