In the state of Tx, is the landlord suppose to supply a refrigerator?

  • There is no law that requires them to unless it is listed as 'fully furnished ". My son learned that when he was looking for a place when he was through with college.

  • Most do but depending on the lease it may be you that has to provide for it but it will always be yours.. My dad rents in NC and he is responsible for the appliances, he knew that up front and had no problem with it..

  • Appliances are not a requirement, but if they are provided then they do need to maintain them and if one breaks the landlord must replace or repair it unless the lease specifically says otherwise.
