How would you word a birthday invitation?

The birthday party is for my twins who will be 3 in August. Their names are Leah and Daniel. The theme will be "10 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed". We will be renting a bouncer for the party, so there will be jumping - just not on the bed!

I'd like the invitation to have the feel of the "Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" song and also give the pertinent information. I'd love for it to rhyme if possible.

Any suggestions for how to word the invitation?

  • Thanks! I've come up with at least a beginning:

Two little monkeys jumping on the bed
One fell off and bumped his head
Mamma called the doctor, and the doctor said
"No more monkeys jumping on the bed!"

One little money jumping on the bed
She fell off and bumped her head
Mamma called the doctor, and the doctor said,
"Better throw a party, and keep 'm off the bed!"

I might try to come up with one more verse to give the party details, or I may just list all that out below. I do like the "Calling all monkeys..." line, so I may try to incorporate that.

    Thanks for the help!
