maternity leave?

what do i have to do to get maternity leave. my supervisor said that she needs something from a doctor but i receive medical care from a midwife. what am i suppose to give my supervisor..a letter from my midwife?

  • They should have a form letter, usually it says when your due date is and a provisional date for going back to work. You should get another letter at your 6 week check up saying that you're good to go too.

  • Sure, a midwife can write the same sort of letter a Doctor can, mine did when I needed it to get on an airplane.
