  • Tacos... ground beef is cheap so are the soft tortillas. We ussually have cheese and sour creme in the house form our big grocery shopping and lettuce and tomatos are fairly cheap if you get iceberg and just one of the little packs of tomatos...

  • sloppy joes are cheap and easy. Tacos too. A $9 chicken and a loaf of stale bread can feed a family of 4 with some to spare (use the bread to make dressing). cheddarwurst and mac & cheese.

  • A big pot of pinto beans..all you need is a .60 cent bag of beans, onions, garlic, salt, pepper, tabasco and any other seasons that you like. Let it simmer all day long! Yummy!

  • Always spaghetti. We have it at least once a week. It's cheap, it's yummy, and the best part is my 10 y/o dd is the one who cooks it.

  • Pancakes. My family thinks it's great to have pancakes for dinner, they don't realize it's out of necessity sometimes!
