Fake job call?

When I left work tonight I had a voicemail and when I checked it there was an automated message saying that this company had received my resume and wanted to set up an interview with me this week. They never said their company name and when i looked up the number online I couldn't find a company I call the number and it directed me to a weird voicemail with a weird address...once again no company I paranoid? It really sucks that I got my hopes up.... :(

  • Did you put your resume out there? If you did I would check into the companies you sent it to. With no company name, I would say scam.

  • I don't know why people will do this. When we are all affected by the economy.

  • It's not an old resume that you left on career board or hotjobs? That is strange that they would try to scam you like that. Hard to see what they have to gain, anelss you buy into the opportunity. Unless maybe they are just trying to get some points for some contest too.
