  • lol i had the same problem..... i finally figured it out i wasnt wearing him out enough.. so we started to play harder... he loves it.. and had cut the nap time down from 2 hrs to 1 hr... and we have a set bed time at 9 if we wanna stay up we turn the lights off in the living room and turn down the tv so he thinks we are in bed and he goes to sleep... i just realized my son fell asleep... and i wasnt even trying to get him to take a nap its just quiet time...

  • well my son is 18 months and transitioning him to the toddler bed was kind of the same thing, he would get up and play with his toys. so what i did was, i layed him in his bed like normal, and he got up and played with his toys. about 15-20 minutes later, i would go in there, lay him down, give him a kiss and tell him to take a nice nap. 15-20 minutes later i did the same thing, only i didn't say anything i just layed him down and gave him a kiss. i had to do this a couple of more times for him to figure out that it's nap time and he finally fell asleep. now i just put him in there, he gets up, plays for no longer than an hour, and he climbs back in his bed and goes to sleep. at bed time though, he doesn't even get up, he knows that when it's dark, and his nature picture is on, it's bed time. i started by putting him in his toddler bed for nap time first, crib at night, then put him down for bed in it about a month later.
