  • the doctors told me that it was when they turned a year old. I started to put some in with his cereal when he was about 8 months old so he could get use to it. He was off of formula and on straight whole milk at one though.

  • Until a year they need all the nutrients from breastmilk or formula. Starting @ 10 months you could probably give them some in a cup, but cows milk should not be their main source until after age one..

  • A year old is the gold standard.

  • Most doctors say that at the age of one, but at times I think the could use at least six more months before changing.

  • The standard is 1 year. However, I switched my son over when he was 8 months old.

  • Hi! It depends on weather you are breastfeeding or formula feeding. If formula, you should wait a little longer (1year). I saw that you are hoping to be prego (congrats BTW!!!), so if you don't want to use formula, then maybe you could introduce milk a little to cut back on the feedings. JMO

  • dr's say at 1 years old and start them on vitamin d (whole milk) I actually started my son at about 11 months and he was drinking 2% lowfat which did not affect him I also breastfed until he was like 16 months old also.
