Do you still clip your 10 year old toe/finger nails for them?

I TRY to..but he ends up ripping them off before I get to them.
I've showed him how to use the clippers but the kid goes crazy with them..he just can't be trusted, lol.

  • yes because they both get super long nails. He cut them once but ended up not going close enough so had to do it again

  • I do, but he has autism and his fine motor skills suck.

  • Yea...that's a bit too old to still be doing it for them. My daughter's nasty habit is that she chews her nails off, and altho she does clip her own toenails, I always end up fixing them cuz she leaves them jagged and too short/long. Just try trusting him w the clippers.

  • My 10 yo daughter bites her nail and clips her own toe nails

  • Nope. My 10yo has been clipping her own nails for about a year now (her choice). My almost 9yo son has started to try and do his. I haven't had to clip my almost 8yo dd's nails since she was 2. She just chews them off (and it's literally been almost 6 years since I clipped her fingernails). I still do her toes and I do my 4yo and the baby.
