Anyone make cornbread? Whats your recipie?

Help! SO really wants me to make him corn bread and I honestly never have been any good at making bread. Any help would be greatly aprreciated.

  • honestly i have made it from scratch and it tasted exactly like the one in the box lmao. i love the jiffy cornbread mix. you just add eggs and milk and you're done

  • I use this one Betty Crocker: Authentic Cornbread & Muffin Mix, 6.5 Ozand I add about 3 tablespoons of sugar to make it a sweet cornbread. I do it in the oven using iron skillet.

  • jiffy mix. only i use 2 boxes cuz i do it in a pan and we like it thicker/ rise higher.

  • yup, jiffy -the cornbread one is a little box- I usually get at least a couple of them and I alwasy add a little sugar to it -makes it YUMMY

  • I usually buy cornmeal and just use the recipe on the box. I never did like those cheap jiffy mixes, but that's just me.
