I am 12 weeks pregnant and still just wanna lay on the couch. When will I get my energy back?

Is this normal to STILL be feeling exhausted?

  • Yes, this is normal. I was still severely sick as well. I got some energy back at about 5 months preggers. Then lost it again at 7 months.

  • Never, I have an 11 y/o and I still have not gotten my energy back! LOL normally 2nd trimester you get an extra boost of energy again.

  • I think everyone is different...I'm 22 weeks 2 days along and haven't gotten any energy back...I mean I'm not as sleepy all the time, but I am physically tired...I can't walk around too much or stand for too long without wanting to crash down to the ground lol. There are some people that get it back in the 2nd trimester, but some people don't.

  • It's different for everyone, but in general, women can feel fatigue up to 5 months pregnant. You should check with your doctor to make sure you are not anemic. Anemia causes significant fatigue in people, and more so during pregnancy.

  • It is different for everyone. The first trimester is usually the most tiring. This is my third pregnancy though and I have felt tired the whole time.
