2 years of left lower leg cramps

Has anyone had this? For 2 years now, I wake up with a left lower leg cramp. I never injured my leg prior to it. I tried over the counter meds for the pain, walking it off, massage, acupuncture, ice and heat packs, bengay like creams. Any one with the same problem? So far the doctor has no clue what it is. I also take Calcium pills every day. It is only in 1 lower leg, age 35. Thanks!

  • I would add banana's to your diet. It's not calcium that you need, it's potassium. Banana's are chock full. If you already eat a lot of banana's I would start exercising everyday (start with just walking for a mile or so). It could be a lack of muscle tone in the leg. Or if you exercise, I would take it easy and just walk for a while, cuz you could be overexerting your leg.
