Idea's for school lunch

Does anyone have any idea's on what I can give my son for lunch? He's sick of lunchables & he doesn't really like lunch meat. I tried chicken nuggets today & he did not eat them. He also only eats fruit at home. So if anybody has any idea's I would greatly appreciate it?

  • These are some of the things my kids take to school:

    Celery & Peanut Butter
    Carrots & ranch
Whole wheat tortillas with apples and peanut butter inside
any kind of sandwich in a wrap - just be different!
Chef-boy-R-D raviolis or spaghettios in a tupperware

  • How old is your son? Is he gone all day? Does he like to eat at school cafe? make sure not to give him any candy/junk food in lunch box. He will eventually eat knowing he will be hungry if he doesnt. My 6 year old will only eat pbj, so I try to load on the pp and limit the jelly. My son came home one day with his sandwich only and the chips/cookies gone. I quit giving him that stuff now. good luck

  • Wow your son sounds like mine....a very picky eater. It drives me crazy trying to think of what to pack that he will eat....How did you do the chicken nuggets...keeping them warm ect.? If you get any great ideas send them my way...:) mine doesn't do the lunchmeat either...think tired of the cheese. Pizza lunchables are starting to get old too. He does like yogurt...try that with some cranola (mine won't try this) but it is good.

  • Mine will eat ham and cheese rolled up with a pickle in the middle. They think they're fun that way. Also cracker sandwiches are fun. Trail mix is healthy, and a favorite at my house. Healthy muffins like carrot or raisin bran. Cheerios or chex mix. I only send Juicy Juice, so at least I know they have that nutrition. Spaghetti O's or ravioli are okay at room temp and most kids don't mind it that way.
