Watch your children at home or help family move?

I am currently stuck at home for a second day in a row while my hubby and his family help Grandpa move. I wish I was there, I am sick of being here. Anyways so that led to me wondering if other would rather be at home watching little ones or out and doing some work?

  • If I was a SAHM then I would probably want to help move, but since I work outside the home, I would want to stay home and spend some time with my son.

  • I just went through the whole moving process. I am a SAHM and I would rather stay at home. Moving is such a pain in the butt!!!

  • How old are your little ones? My kids enjoyed helping us move when it came time to. I would take them over there and if they get in the way too much then take them back home. If anything at all they'll want to help with things.

  • When we moved to our current home we only had one child who was 9 months old. I had my MIL babysit while my husband and I packed up all of our stuff into the moving van. I was more useful helping pack than sitting around watching. :o)

  • Staying at home with the kids, depending on their age. With a two year old, for me, helping move with him around would be more of a hassle especially with no one to watch him.

  • I wouldn't take my kids to help someone move. They would just be in the way, or someone else who was there to help would have to watch them anyway, meaning there's still one less person actually helping.

But I hate moving and am glad to use my kids as an excuse not to, lol. :)

  • No offence, but I would rather stay at home. I work outside our home all week. Then I work inside our home too much during the weekend trying to clean and get everyone ready for the up coming week.
