  • Perfectly normal. The poops will slowly become less frequent (and bigger).

  • Yes it is normal. I thought it was crazy when my son did that too.

  • That's normal!!

Seedy infant poop is very normal too! Especially when breast feeding!

My Dr. always told me they should have 5-6 pee-pee diapers and 2-3 poop diapers a day.

  • Definitely normal! The newborn poops are the worst. =D Just be glad that he is pooping! If he wasn't, he would probably be really uncomfortable a lot of the time. Sounds to me like his system is just cleaning itself out after birth. Doesn't sound like anything weird to me. Congrats on the new family member!

  • If his bottom is getting red - you say you're feeding 15 minutes per side - don't switch sides, feed him off one side for a whole feeding - he could be getting too much foremilk and not enough hindmilk, which can affect bottoms. I had that with my DS but didn't become aware of the problem til after we switched to formula.
