What is the difference between magic and miracles?

Why is it that some religions believe that miracles are from God, a good and beautiful occurrence, and that magic — even if it is performing the same feat — is evil?

  • It's all in the brain-washing--I mean, "mental conditioning". If you perform magic, people will believe it a miricle, but only as long as you claim it's from god.

  • A Miracle is something that happens when the fates (or if you believe God) intervenes and changes things for their own reasons... Miracles tend to be a 100% change to some situation - Cancer Cured, Blind can see, Deaf can hear... It's a perfect fix for a problem and generally has no repercussions.

Magick on the other hand is something which is done by your average person. It's not 100% or perfect and generally it's not going to create a big enough change to make a huge difference in the world (although it CAN). And because Magick is done by a person, the Law of Attraction/Karma/Rule Of Three applies which returns energy to the person who did the Magick...

What it comes down to is that they are not truly one in the same. But even if they do the same thing, people have been told so many times that even good magick is bad, so they are going to be afraid... It always comes down to fear over faith!

  • The simplest answer is that generally people are afraid of things they don't understand.

  • Miracles are things that happen out of a person's control. Magic is done by the hands of people.

  • Magic is just a trick. Miracles are either your imagination or a coincidence that you don't understand. Most things that people don't 'GET' are just explained by others a miracles.

  • Miracle- Is not done to achieve magic.

Magic - Is done in the name of a craft or forgery. Trying to get a result for gain., wealth, notoriety, or fame. God knows the minds of those people, and that they are evil.

Miracle is only on those which are sincere for the sake of knowing God for his true love, not for gain, or success, fame, {or for the mere show of it. A miracle is a way of manifesting the deep hope that Jesus had for his children. He wasn't going to get money, fame, or a long life in the land and a pyramid named and built after him. That was for those who were more into false gods, unreal wealth, and glory to themselves. Never to the true God Jehovah, and his Son Jesus' name.

  • Prayer to God isn't a game, he knows the difference when the prayer is sincere and not really for make up time, or as some people, will beg, or play a bargaining game with him, please, .......just do this and I'll never act bad again. So he isn't going to give us things just because we ask, and think positive. We are supposed to really worship HIM. Not each other. We are supposed to give our hearts to him. Too many times God will let things happen many times to show us that we aren't in control of anything, it is our duty out of respect to follow his ways and ask for his protection, but let him lead, and really let time be part of the quotient. When we just go ahead and do the same routine and act out as spoiled --"we deserve better, or we're the best, and I'm better than him or her'', or I earned it , God sees that too. He isn't all about the look or good grades we get. Our father did create us to be patient PLUS meek.
