Does anyone know of good Pet Insurance?

I am looking for pet insurance for my two Chiuahuah's. One does have a knee problem and I need her to have surgery, but I do not have $2,000.00. Know of any giving Vetrinarian's that don't charge an arm and a leg that live in Minnesota?

  • I looked into it a while ago and most won't cover pre-existing problems. I don't know if it's changed any since then though. Good luck!

  • yeah, unfortunately, just like human insurance, most won't cover pre-existing. Have you looked into CareCredit?

  • I have no idea what the company name was but my mom had insurance on her dog through the vet's office. Maybe ask your vet?

  • That is not an option through the Vet. They do have CareCredit though. I take my dog's to Banfield Pet Hospital, but I don't think I really like them anymore. I have been paying there monthly fee's, which only cover there yearly shot's and two check-ups a year. They are very expensive, I have been finding out, since I have been trying to locate a cheaper Vet.
