how does someone look jewish??

I've hear people say someone looks like a jew, but i can't ever tell the difference between a jew and non-jew. I'm not trying to be racist, and i'm not trying to stereotype anyone, i just want to know how in the would can someone be labeled by their looks.

  • everyone is stereotyped as something because of their looks! People think Im stupid because Im blonde. same goes for Asian people, everyone thinks they are geniuses

  • I think a yalmulka and a "jew-fro" give it away. Other than that, I have no clue!

  • Well being of Jewish decent I would bet you would never know. However I think what people see is like fiddler on the roof and think that is the stereotypical Jewish look.

  • rkoloms i'm not tring to offend anyone, i was just wondering where the saying came from and why. because the few people that i know that are jewish i have not seen anything that sets them apart from anyone else. for years that has been saying about people looking jewish and i just don't get it.
