need a cure for steam burns

while my daughter was removing dinner from the oven she took the foil off and steam burned two of her fingers, she tried running them under cold water stops the pain for a short time then it starts up again. any ideas. by the way shes 19

  • There is no cure. I have always noticed that with burns, whenever you stop the cold water or ice it hurts really bad, but you have to stop them sometime. The pain seem to last only a short while though, maybe 15min or something. I think the advil is a good idea.

  • Chamomile Is supposed to take the burn out. When I burning the heck out of my toe, I used chamomile lotion and it helped, somewhat.

  • does mustard work, or is that only for stove burns?
