1 Bump

DS (10 1/2 months old) has started wacking himself in the head with the back of his hand when he's nursing and, I think, trying to stay awake....

... just a phase or something to worry about? Never seen him do anything like this (he's not a fit-pitcher, head-banger, rocker....). He's actually really easygoing, smiley, and very interactive most of the time.

  • He could be trying to keep himself up! My 8 month old is also a very easy going baby, but she does try and fight sleep sometimes while nursing. If you can hold his hand, or give him a little blankey to keep his hands busy it might help.

  • It feels good to him. It isn't about the hitting so much, it is about the rhythm. don;t worry... he is fine.
