Has anyone ever used an advocacy group to help their child in school?

My daughter was diagnosed ADHD and is being evaluated for Asperger's Syndrome. An advocacy group was recommended to me so that she can get the help she needs to fit in in school and stay on task. The problem is they cost money and I have no idea what they do. I don't mind paying if I'm sure they can help, but I'm a bit nervous about just jumping in without knowing what they do.

  • I would go to the school counselor and he/she should be able to help you or direct yo to the appropriates party/ies. Good luck.
