  • Who wants to cook for three hours in the summer? Throw some steaks on the grill.

  • If grill is not an option I would go with a simple yet impressive pasta dish like baked ziti, a nice summer salad and garlic bread. Easy, elegant, kid friendly.

    Baked ziti:
    toss ziti (cooked)
    a small contianer of ricota
    sauce (canned or home made)
(Optional) sautaed mushrooms, peperoni and grn. peppers
    top with mozzarella
bake at 35o until warmed through

  • do a spaghetti bake...
cook your style of pasta as directed
make your way of spaghetti sauce add chunks of broccoli and red pepper to it
    mix pasta and sauce together
take a deep lasagna pan and layer the bottom with some of the spaghetti and then
place a layer of cheese on that ... (creating a lasagna effect in layering)
use as many and different cheeses
once spag is completely in pan sprinkle thick layer of cheese on top
bake for 15 mins on 250 serve with garlic bread or breaded mushrooms

    Also try grilling something...

You can grill all of your foods... make bake potatoes with ribs and a toss salad
try pork chops, grilled onion/mushrooms with a salad maybe corn on the cob too
