  • Prunes are a specific plum not just any old dried plum. They are dried for more fiber and a more intense flavor and are sweeter. They are a plum without a pit and they are steamed and then pureed. They contain a natural laxitave dihydrophenylisatin which when warmed up is even more effective!

  • LOL.Prunes are really gooey. I believe they puree the prunes and keep adding water slowly mixing it together until they get the consistency of juice.

  • I love prunes and prune juice! They both are the most tastiest way to get the bowels moving naturally in the right direction again without having to mess with medications. I love to eat them when they are moist or when they are stewed....I always asked for stewed prunes in the hospital after giving birth. My oldest daughter did the same after she had a baby!
Never give it to a baby or young child (check with pediatrician), but my girls love eating them and always have since they were about 4 years old I think.
The "dried" prunes I've had were always still a bit moist, but they would have made the juice from the ones they did not make into "dried" prunes. Good topic for you to research.
