Is it wrong to put a kid in the same costume two Halloweens in a row?

We made my son a Buddy the Elf costume last year, by hand, from scratch. It's super cute and it was a little big on him so I'm thinking of maybe using it again this year but he already wore it and got all the compliments and stuff, basically, the novelty of it has worn off, I think.
If we decide to sell it, how much should we ask for something like this?
I'll post a pic in the first answer.
Thanks!

  • Do it one more time this outfit is tooooooooo cute!!!
My dd has been a fairy princess for 3 yrs. In a row only bc I bought the costume too big I just hemmed it up and as time went by I would let it out and re-hemmed it.. now it is too short...lol I swear kids grow up so fast she must have grown atleast 10 inches in the past 3 years. If your child does not mind using it again...go for it... I told my dd she can be a pretty witch this year.

  • Cute!
If he wants to wear it again, let him.
If you choose to sell it, sell it for what you'd be willing to pay for it used.

  • My kids have worn costumes 2-3 Halloween. Especially if it still fit and they wanted to wear it again. There's nothing wrong with that. As for how much I would say $20-30 the average price of customs.

  • Thanks, girls. I'll ask him if he wants to be Buddy again and see what he says. When we were kids my grandma always made the best costumes. I think my mom thinks she has to follow in her footsteps and will try to make just about anything for this kid! ;-)
