  • Coupons are great! Make sure you get an organizer otherwise they'll expire before you can use them. We subscribe to the Sunday paper ONLY to get coupons and sales ads. We are lucky to have a deep freezer so when meats go on sale, we buy in bulk, repackage and freeze. We save a TON that way. Also, I subscribe to Mummydeals.com (it's free), and they send you emails when there are specials and let you know about the coupons for those particular items, and oftentimes give you the links for them if you don't have them (the coupons). Shopping at Aldi is great, too (I'm not sure where you live, though)--we have probably saved hundreds (literally) on our grocery bills.

  • A list is good. Make a list of dinner's and lunches that arent costly and that you can stretch and stick to the list. Dont go to the store hungry. Buy paper products and cleaning products at the dollar store and stock up when you cna. They say try putting away 2% of your pay, which really isnt very much unless you make alot of money.
