Pacifier user or thumb sucker?

I have one pacifier addict and two thumb suckers. It was so much easier to take the pacifiers away. Now I have two little ones that suck their thumb and it seems like their is no end in sight. So which would you rather have?

  • Pacifier. I had one that used a pacifier and one that sucks his fingers. We took the pacifier away at about 8 months without any problems. My finger sucker is 3, and we can't find a way to get him to stop.

  • I had both and would take a thumb sucker over a paci any day of the week!!!

I never had a lost thumb, I never had to wake up in the middle of the night because the thumb fell out of the crib, I never had to worry about the store being closed when the thumb got tossed out a car window/flushed down a toilet/or simply couldnt be found.

  • Pacifier. My son always found his at night on his own. Never threw it out of a car, because he only got it at night. And never lost it. I threw it away at a restaurant once, but, had a back up and could easily find another MaM at Wal-Mart.
