P. Diddy calls interviewer racist for asking about a car he bought his son???

So, Diddy was interviewed by Nightline Host Martin Bashir. He asked about the ~400k Maybach Diddy bought his son for his 16th birthday. He answered the question just fine (see ABC link) - but it wasn't until LATER he brought up the racism thoughts to Vibe magazine.

"The whole thing about giving a Maybach to my son, that's really like a racist question. You don't ask White people what they buy their kids," he continued. "And they buy 'em Porsches and convertible Bentleys, and it ain't no question. It's really a racist question and put things back in perspective with money and the way that people still look at you. And I'm not saying that consciously he's a racist."

  • Whatever. That was not a racist question at all! Diddy is just being overly sensitive.

  • He is "race-baiting". He answered the actual question just fine - said nothing of it being racist or targeting him during the interview. It wasn't until he spoke with Vibe magazine, a predominately black magazine, that he called it a racist remark. Go figure!
