1 Bump

I'm 10 weeks preggers: Is sewage enough to get out of your lease?

I am 10 weeks pregnant.
The TOILET has been filling the water all the way to the top of the seat and spewing water out sometimes on the mat or on our legs since we moved in (May)...
Last FRIday, DH called the landlord and told them how far along I am, and what happened...
"He went #2, and the toilet clogged up and he went to plunge it and the water kept coming up from the screws on the side of the toilet."
They didn't send someone out until 3:30pm today (MON).
The maintenance guys came and they said they couldn't fix it so they were going to have to call a plumber...

HOW EASY WILL IT BE FOR ME TO GET OUT OF MY LEASE, since the Landlord obviously doesn't care for the well~being of my baby?

  • Also, the Landlord just told us to turn the water off in the master bathroom (which was where all this happened), so we got to sleep with the pungent smell of feces all weekend...

  • Typically, if there are two bathrooms in the place and only one of them is not working, this is not a reason to be able to break your lease.
