Not having clear understanding of what is expected of them in a marriage as far as sex,finances,past relationships,inlaws,free time,and responsibility. People marry and can't stand how the other acts and wonders why the person isn't changing.They have these HUGE issues and think that marriage will magically solve them.

I think there is a lack of communication. But I also know a lot of people give up way to easily too. Sometimes marriage gets hard, and some people would rather just throw in the towel instead of working it out. (Now I am not talking about staying if there is cheating or abuse involved)
