  • Try tums. Do not lay down, it will only make it worse. Try to eat something with no acid in it.

  • I had TUMS everywhere, bedside, purse, in my desk at work. I ate many. And they have calcium which was a nice bonus. Also, I sometimes laid in bed very propped up to try and alleviate it but it was hard for me to sleep that way.

  • Milk will help neutralize the acid in your stomach. Tums will help as well and are safe to take.

  • Try taking a shot of aloe vera juice. It doesn't taste great, but its natural and safe. I have bad acid reflux, and I take a shot of aloe vera a day. My husband now takes it when he has an upset stomach, or heartburn. Works great, and you can drink as much as you need. If the taste bothers you, add it to some juice. :)
