My son's penis is itchy and dry.

So, my 7 year olds penis is itchy and dry. ( He is special needs)
It's only the tip and it's also red.
I don't want to use a lotion in case it's yeast and I don't want a yeast lotion in case it's just dry.
I'm stuck! What do I do?
Right now I think I could deal with it at home - not too serious but if it's left for a little while longer than he will need a dr.
I don't know yet if it hurts him to pee - this morning he peed fine - just itchy.
Thanks!

  • Diaper rash ointment is what I would use. You could always call & ask the dr for what you could use on it.
