What veggies do you find easiest to get your kids to eat?

My daughter is so fussy she'll hardly eat any veggies. She's 12, almost 13. And I've tried them raw with dip and she won't even try them. Any one got any ideas?

  • Shread them up and put them in other foods, like speghetti sauce, meatloaf, soups. That's what I would do!

  • Try letting her grow some veggies. My kids are always willing to eat what they grow.

  • carrots, also salad, my oldest daughter loves salad, brocolli they call it trees. I'd try carrots in different ways, usually carrots are the less rejected, grade carrots and add lemon juice or something like that.

  • both ideas a re great! since she wont even try them be a sneak lol...tell her casually that edwars from twillight adores xxxxx...and that you read in a magazine he could NEVER date aq girl who didnt try immature a nd sneaky but it worked on my 11 yr old neice and she now loves brocolli. also, shread mass, puree veggies into anything you can. lastly, tell her she has a choice, either she eats x amyof veggies each day, or she takes a vitamin. with my eldest it was you ate at least 2 bites to try, or you had cold(but healthy cereal for supper)...he got really tired of cereal lol and he learned that when he tried it he was actually proud of himself. :) gl!

  • My kids like veggies. More so than I may!!!! I would let her come up with her own ideas of what she would like to eat and let her know that she has to include a vegetable. My step kids wouldn't eat vegetables either when I first came into their lives but as long as I cooked something that they liked along with other stuff including a vegetable, I would tell them they had to take a small portion (3 small baby carrots) and eat them. This was just enough to get some in their system but also not so much that they were not willing to eat them. Now they eat them know problem. I think sometimes it is just the fact that something is good for you or its a "vegetable".
