DOES A KID REALLY GO THROUGH 4 BOXES OF CRAYONS A YEAR?

  • I've wondered that myself. But my DD says she breaks some, looses some..??? Who knows...

  • Nope. That is for the kids that can't afford or just in case someone breaks or loses a crayon.

  • LOL..You'd be suprised. Kids are not that gentle on crayons.

  • My 6 yr old goes thru a box a month at home. So I can see it happening.

  • My kids they would use certain colors more than others, and of course crayons get broken or lost....... but they never went thru 4 full boxes a year.

  • well it depends on the child some break them a lot and some loose them and some give them away.

  • depends on the kid- some can make 1 box last the whole school year, others lose or break 1/2 the box within the first month

  • I guess it depends on how much coloring they will be doing. So far my daughter has only been required to bring one box. In kindergarten all of their supplies became "community property" so she didn't bring anything home at the end of the year, but last year at the end of first grade she brought home all her supplies and most her crayons were still there and still have a lot of use left in them.

  • My kids went through at least 3 boxes each last year. Not sure what they did with all those crayons. They also went through like 50 pencils each. Every week they were asking for more pencils. There must be a pencil monster at school or something.
