what do you do for you toddler when...

they have a cold? My daughter woke up with a runny nose and sounds congested. What would you ladies suggest to help her sleep tonight?

  • I give my toddler homeopathetic vitamin c cold tablets for babies. They ar sold in drugstores like Walgreens or Rite Aid, CVS.
    They seem to help.
    Also, steam up the bathroom and have her sit in there with you for a bit to help relieve some of the congestion.
    Hope she feels better soon.

  • We had the most success with giving them a bath with the Johnson and Johnson eucalyptus body wash followed by setting up a Vick's warm steam vaporizer in their bedrooms with the liquid Vick's eucalyptus solution, which helped to open their sinuses and they could breathe and sleep better, since they fought taking medicine.

  • A humidifier in her room & some Baby Vicks on her chest. Also elevate her head with a pillow if possible.

  • warm bath or shower, lots of fluids, and snggles. there isn't much you can do, and we're not a fan of many meds... sometimes we will do a honey lemon tea...

  • Homeopathic medecine (Highlands makes some good ones) and a warm bath.
