  • Timothy hay should make up the majority of a rabbit's diet. Timothy hay pellets are good as a supplement and other fresh veggies especially dark greens are also good for them. Avoid things like alfalfa except sparingly because it tends to be high in fat and nutritionally void.

  • We used to have three and they were outside bunnies~at least during the summer. I would put them in our dog kennel to "graze". They seemed to like it;)

  • They love veggies/fruits...you can even buy a little leash and bunny harness to take him outside on the lawn to eat some grass..grass is healthy for them, helps with digestion.
But you should steer away from the following or keep them to a minumum because they will cause diarheah because they are made of a lot of water:
    celery
    iceburg lettuce
    apples
I used to have a beautiful abino angora bunny...I loved that little guy. He ended up becoming very sick..he got menangitis. So make sure you get him his shots, especially if you do take him outside!

  • My daddy raises rabbits...here's what he says...
Grass (Should be moist or green),Hay (BEST for Rabbits) ,Dried Fruit ,Fresh Fruit/ Veg,Basil,Spring greens,Broccoli (Very healthy for the rabbits),Sprouts,Carrots and carrot tops (not as healthy for them),Celery,Clover,Dandelion Leaves(make sure they are CLEAN),Green Peppers,Parsley,Watercress,Sweetcorn,Spinach (cut up),Kale,Apples (no pips or seeds),Banana,Pineapple,Melon (tiny bits and no seeds),Peach,Pear,Strawberries,Seedless Grapes
Raisins Pellets (2nd best food for them) A domestic rabbit does well on a diet of commercially prepared rabbit or guinea pig or hamster chow and hay with occasional fruit and vegetable treats. Things my rabbits love are... Pellets, Sunflower seeds, and tiny tiny bits of pancakes (not the best for rabbits but surely not the worse.).
they eat onions and carrots and rabbit/pet food.
