Toshiba brand computers -- what is your opinion?

What do you think of the newer Toshiba brand laptop computers that have come out?
Is it a brand to trust?
I got mixed results from consumer reports and comments on various sites so I thought I would ask you all on here.
What is your opinion?

  • There are 4 Toshiba laptops amongst me, my DH, my dd and son-in-law. We all absolutely LOVE them!

  • OMG... girl... I was research them last night! I had the same thing with reviews ~ 382 fabulous reviews at Best Buy and all the Consumer Reports had was horrible reviews... 2 star with exploding crystal screens. I was looking at the 12 cell battery one. Sounded like the greatest thing since sliced bread...now I may consider have one built at Dell.

  • My husband and I have Toshibas, but they're from '06 and '07. I had issues with Windows, so I switched operating systems (I use Ubuntu now, it's Linux). Before that, I was ready to throw my laptop out my window because of the problems Windows was causing me. My husband never had problems, but he switched, too lol. Everyone I know that's had one say they love it.
