  • I pack my little man cheese chunks, grapes, chicken breast strips with some BBQ dip, apples and peanut butter, yogurt parfaits with vanilla yogurt, sliced strawberries (I use frozen) and blueberries (also frozen) and granola, celery and peanut butter, hard boiled eggs.....if I think of more I will add it!! Good luck to your daughter!

  • I have a very picky eater, but thankfully it's the healthy food he loves! Here is a typical week of lunches in our house:

Mon.- Peanut butter sandwich (no jelly/jam), yogurt, green beans & cup of juice.
Tues.- Tofu Dog (you can just use regular hot dogs. Mine won't eat those.), Mandarin orange slices, Cheez-Its & cup of milk.
Cheezit-Its are one of the few not-so-healthy things he eats.
Wed.- Top Ramen with green beans and eggs mixed in, like a stir fry, banana & cup of milk.
Thurs.- "French Toast" sticks (recipe below), grapes, tater tots (no ketchup) & cup of milk.
Fri.- Turkey lunch meat torn apart to little pieces (you can also cut them into circles), cheese cubes, crackers & cup of juice.

"French Toast" Sticks: Big piece of bread (thick kind), spray with cooking oil & bake til golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar & serve. Not lunch-y, but he only eats it at lunch time. Mostly healthy meals. Mix & match!

  • Instead of sandwiches, try mini bagels with cream cheese, or one of the flavoured cream cheeses. Or a wrap, or you can also make your own lunchables, way healthier and funner than the ones in the stores. (read those labels, eekk!!) Or pasta salad, could be in place of a sandwich.
