How do i get rid of the smell from food left in a freezer?

My dear sweet hubby!! left the meats in the freezer when we were moving ,for 2 days past i just happened to open and i freakin' gagged!! I yelled at him for doing this for which he 4-got to take out Uugghhh!.So now i've tried everything to get rid of smell. and it still stinks! What should i do? Please Help!!

  • You may have already tried this but, you can put a few of those arm & hammer baking soda fridge and freezer packs in there and see if that does the trick. I had to do this with the deep freeze we were given because it smelled horribably of fish, no oder now!

  • Clean it with baking soda. Baking soda naturally absorbs odors. Use it the way you would clean with comet. Just sprinkle it in and wipe with a wet sponge. It should be pasty. After you do that and it's all clean you can put some in a bowl of water and have that sit in the freezer (not while it's on) to absorb the smell. Also put a box of opened baking soda in the freezer door.

    We went on vacation once and some kids in the neighborhood turned off our power. Stupid prank but since we were gone for a week everything in our fridge and feezer went bad. Some of the stuff in the feezer liquified. It was a mess but we got the smell out.

  • Wash it out with Bleach water. If that don't work then try it again with a stronger solution of Bleach.Good luck1
