Is it better to hire one full time nanny or several babysitters?

I'm getting overwhelmed with trying to balance work and motherhood. So, I'm considering hiring someone to watch the children while I'm working. I work at home, so I would be here.

  • I'd go w/ one. Its easier to establish a relationship, its a consistent person, easier to do background checks (even being home I'd still do one!) Make sure they are reliable & are going to be consistently coming, it doesn't do you any good if every time you call they can't come!

  • i would hire one great person

it is hard enough to check out a person to see if they are good for child
having to worry about more than one-too mind blowing
plus, creates consistency for child with only one

  • If you would like to hire someone, I suggest one person. Just my opinion though.

  • I would hire one person, because the kids would get attatched to them. Do you mind if I ask what kind of at home work you do?

  • One constant in their lives. More folks would be confusing. They need one person to develop a bond with.
