Are we the only parents left in America who don't have children that drink coffee?

It's no big deal, I realize, but why do children have to do everything adults do now? It was bad enough when teens started being treated like adults, but now even seven and eight year olds drink coffee. I'm just wondering if anyone else out there doesn't see a need for this.

  • Yikes! I would never have let my kids drink coffee, they were hyper as it was. The grandkids aren't getting any coffee from me either. I try to limit their caffeine intake when they are with me. LOL!!!

  • My mom let my younger siblings drink coffee, I have no idea why they would want to... coffee is gross. I still don't drink coffee and I'm an adult :)

  • No one in my house drinks it. My husband might once in a while at work, but I find coffee nasty. ANY thing with coffee in it to me is gross.

  • I have three boys 17, 16 and 5.... none of which drink coffee or even want to drink coffee, which in hindsight is kinda weird because I drink coffee all day and even my candles and air fresheners smell of a warm toasty hazelnut coffee... LOL... maybe thats why! ROFLMAO.

  • My kids ASK for coffee because I let them taste in once a couple of years ago and they liked it, but they're not allowed to have caffeinated drinks. I started drinking coffee when I was 14 and had a job at Dunkin' Donuts. I hope my kids don't start the caffeine habit for many years, if ever.

  • Wow, really? I didn't know parents did this. My LO's don't even drink soda. They're 4, 3 and 1. I'm sure they will eventually be allowed soda in small doses, but it will be a while.

  • We are not a coffee drinking household either. I don't understand how something that smells so warm and comforting can taste so nasty!
