What is Clomid?

Im Just wondering. I honestly never heard of this before

  • Its a medicine drs prescribe for women who are not ovulating. It stimulates your ovaries to begin to produce eggs...or hopefull it will :)

    Its usually one of the first things Dr's will do to aid a woman to get pregnant. It took it and was pregnant the very first month! Its just a tiny little pill you swallow :)

  • I'm not sure exactly what is, but I know it's some type of medicine that can help you conceive. I think it makes you either ovulate or makes you ovulate more frequently lol.

  • Clomid is an orally administered, nonsteroidal, ovulatory stimulant designated chemical.

    Clomid (Clomiphene)
    Clomiphene is used to induce ovulation (egg production) in women who do not produce ova (eggs) but wish to become pregnant (infertility). Clomiphene is ina class of medications called ovulatory stimulants. It works similarly to estrogen, a female hormone that causes eggs to develop in the ovaries.

    some side effect may include

    flushing (feeling of warmth)
    upset stomach
    breast discomfort
    abnormal vaginal bleeding

  • Another side effect is irritability...I had that in SPADES when I took it!
