Baby's poop different color almost every diaper change.

It's yellow and seedy sometimes, sometimes it's green or brown or orange... What's going on? He's breastfed so is it my diet?

  • Yes, it is your diet for the most part. The "seedy" issue is undigested milk fat, very normal for breast fed babies. Their poop will change colors like the rainbow. All is fine.

  • Babies poop changes in size, color, and consistency all the time. Now if it becomes pellet like, that is when you call your pediatrician. That could spell problems. Otherwise, everything else is normal.

  • Sounds like normal breastfed poopies. If it's green it might mean too much foremilk... keep him on the same breast for longer and see if it helps the color.
