Do you think Gas prices will go back down?

Do you think that Gas Prices will go back down or do you look for them to plateau and stay where they are or continue to rise?

  • They aren't going to go back down to the pre-recession $1.30 or $1.50/gal, but they will drop again in the fall to the $1.80-$2.30 range again.

  • I'm hoping they go down but I will settle for them staying where they are at! :)

  • Back down from what? Honestly, I didn't think they were high... I just paid $2.25 - of course with my "fuel perks" I rarely pay more than $1 a gallon, so that was high for me, but I didn't think it was really high...

  • I don't think we'll ever see them go down very much from where they have been lately. American's are 'content' with where they are now because we are all grateful that it isn't $4/gal, since there isn't a public outcry, nothing will be done to lower prices. We'll just sit here and watch oil companies post their record profits and be thrilled that we aren't paying double the price.

  • @ NotPanicking: I hope you're right!!!

I will be surprised if they go back down. I kind of think they will continue to rise very slowly to what they were last summer. Around here in NorCal they're creeping back. We payed $3.29/gal last night. Bleh!

  • Once the Summer holiday season is done, the prices will go down slightly.
