  • Breakfast for Dinner Night is always great and cheap.
Big Salad night is cheap, just top it with sliced chicken breasts or cold cubed ham.

BTW Cheap is all in the interpretation.... Think about this... Meat becomes a sidekick not a focus if you have more sides so stock the panty with generic quick sides... think outside the boxes... Say you buy a package of chicken drumsticks... Roast them in the oven and then serve them with Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, Gravy, Salad and Fruit. Serves a family of 4 a lot of food for just over $6.

    Package Chicken $3.00
    Potatoes (1.29 box 1/3 to serve) $.41
    Stuffing $.89
    Gravy Packet $.39
    Salad ($.99 bag premade) $.75
    Fresh Strawberries (2.89) $1.00

  • Hamburger helper meal, spaghetti and garlic bread, grilled cheese and tomato soup, well there are tons. Everything I cook is cheap. Under 10 dollars for every meal, half of them are under $5. I have 2 adults and two kids.

  • A pot of any kind of beans is a cheap meal. If you can add a green vegetable, even better. Dried beans are the least expensive and actually taste the best, too.
