Pasta Question

This may be an "out there" question. lol I am new to making pasta salads and have what I figure is a basic question.

I want to make a pasta salad that calls for rotini noodles. It also calls for white vinegar. Will I be able to replace the rotini noodles for shells? I only ask because all I have on hand are the shells.

Thank you.

  • Yep. It will work just as well, and it's a substitution that I make all the time. Recipes are just suggestions, you know.

  • I don't see why not. They are both forms of pasta with different cooking times though.
