Can gum give you diarrhea?

About 1 month ago I started chewing about 2 pieces of gum a day..
The last few days Ive had diarrhea & I dont know what is causing it?
So im just curious if anyone knows of gum giving you diarrhea?

  • Yes, it definitely can!! If you are chewing sugar-free gum, you may be sensitive to the artificial sweetener that is used in it.

  • YES Sugarless gum can cause a host of problems in people. I don't touch the stuff

  • No. It shouldn't have any impact on your digestive system unless you eating like 40 packs a day and swollowing.

  • Thanks Ladies! Ive became a big gum chewer the last month.. And in the last week Ive been eating about 3 small pieces a day of Orbits gum..
    The first night I thought it may be that we had tacos lol.. But 3 days later im still feeling the pain, so i knew it had to be something else & i just thought of the gum..
