  • prunes...but you can also try warm baths too, that's supposed to help

  • Most of the fruits will help with constipation - apples, pears, prunes (although I wouldn't recommend an overdose on the prunes - my kids never needed more than a spoonful or two to get things going). Sweet potatoes aren't particularly good for constipation.

  • bananas will make it worse (that's what the ped. told me anyway). i agree that prunes and apples will help

  • Pears are best! Prunes can cause cramping but pears have almost as much fiber (which helps them poop) without generally causing the cramps and gas that come with prunes.

  • We give prunes to help with constipation
We make applesauce, which apples cause constipation, but then we make it blueberry/applesauce, which helps with stool movement instead of constipating.
    Bananas also cause constipation
You could try a prune juice or grape juice to get things going

  • Apple juice or apples work best for my daughter to relive constipation. Dairy makes it worse, was bad when she had to have whole milk. So cheese can be bad as well. I've read that sweet potatoes are something that cause loose stools.

  • Not babyfood. Just regular whole food. Constipation remedies: Water, Apricots, Pears, Plums, Prunes
Whole fruit 200% better than juice as juice has a lot of sugar and 0 fiber. Jar food has a lot of water and very little fiber so also not good.

Binding foods: bananas, rice cereal/rice, apples

Blueberries and beans tend to get things moving also, but aren't quite as efficient as the WAPPP list.
